Matthew Gammans is an assistant professor in the Department of Agricultural, Food, and Resource Economics at MSU. A native Michigander, Matthew earned an engineering degree from Michigan State University prior to beginning his doctoral work in agricultural economics at the University of California, Davis. His research focuses on farmer decision-making, climat
e change adaptation, and ag-environmental policy. He has developed new statistical methodologies to measure farmer adaptation to climate and has published work on the impact of climate change on US and French agriculture. He also holds an extension appointment through MSU AgBioResearch and has worked to help stakeholders develop climate adaptation strategies.
