Sports fans in the U.S. have a lot of choices when it comes to watching live sports. If you have a cable or satellite TV subscription, you have access to most major pro and college sports, either on a channel dedicated to that sport or on a general-interest network like ESPN.
If you don’t have cable, you can subscribe to streaming services like Sling TV, PlayStation Vue, DirecTV Now, YouTube TV or stream2watch alternatives Hulu with Live TV. All five of those services cost $25 per month or less and all offer ESPN.
Another option is an over-the-air antenna for free local channels, particularly ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC. Most TVs sold today come with built-in digital tuners, so hooking up an antenna is as simple as plugging it into your TV’s HDMI port. If your TV didn’t come with a tuner you can buy one separately either at an electronics store or online.
