Overview:
Glens Falls is bordered on its southern edge by the Hudson River. On the southern edge of the area, a large waterfall empties into the river. A lot of the surrounding area is made up of woodlands.
Winters are cold, and summers are moderately warm with occasional hot spells. Days exceeding 90°F occur less than half a week annually, while days below freezing occur around 150 days per year. Precipitation is well-distributed throughout the year, with wintertime snow occurring frequently with occasional blizzards. Extreme precipitation events occur about half a week annually.
