Overview:
Allentown is located in the southeastern part of Pennsylvania. Lehigh river runs through the city, where it is met by the Jordan and the Little Lehigh Creeks. The city is situated in Lehigh Valley, which is bounded geographically by Blue Mountain and South Mountain.

Summers are typically warm and humid and winters are cool to cold, with slightly more than 100 days below freezing on average. Precipitation is distributed evenly throughout the year. Snowfall varies between light snow and numerous significant snowstorms in the area from year to year.
