Greta Fear is a Master’s student at the University of Michigan’s School for Environment and Sustainability (SEAS) with concentrations in Environmental Policy and Planning and Ecosystem Science and Management. She has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan’s Program in the Environment and specialized in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems. She is passionate about exploring innovative ways to increase resilience to climate impacts, including stress to water resources and agricultural systems.
As a Graduate Student Research Assistant with GLISA, she will primarily work with the FloodWise Communities program to build resilience to intensifying precipitation events. Specifically, she will be working with small and mid-sized Great Lakes communities to complete stormwater vulnerability assessments which help communities develop hazard mitigation plans, influence capital improvement planning, secure grants, and communicate risk to community leaders and elected officials, among other applications.
